Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-06-29

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Pasvo (the "Service"), operated by Pasvo LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

Geographic scope. Pasvo is intended for and offered only to users located in the United States. The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly provide it to, individuals located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. We use geolocation controls to restrict access from those regions. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.

2. Description of Service

Pasvo is an AI-powered platform that helps job seekers create ATS-optimized resumes and tailored cover letters. The Service includes:

  • Resume creation and editing with professional templates
  • AI-powered content generation and optimization
  • ATS (Applicant Tracking System) scoring and analysis
  • Cover letter generation tailored to job descriptions
  • Job description management and application tracking
  • Document export in PDF and DOCX formats
  • Resume import from existing documents and images

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account through our authentication provider, Clerk. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information.
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials.
  • Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access to your account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

The Service offers the following subscription tiers:

PlanPriceResumesCreditsExports
Free$02 active15 lifetime2 / calendar month (PDF only)
Pro$9/monthUnlimited50 / billing month30 / billing month
Premium$29/monthUnlimited150 / billing month100 / billing month

Free tier: credits are a one-time lifetime allowance and do not reset. Free tier resume and cover-letter slots count active (non-deleted) documents only - deleting a document frees a slot. Exports reset on the 1st of each calendar month.
Pro and Premium: credits and exports reset monthly on your Stripe billing cycle date. Paid tiers have unlimited resumes and cover letters. Subscribers can also buy a one-time 25-credit top-up for $6 that never expires.

See our Pricing page for full plan details.

Billing Terms

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
  • Monthly subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Subscriptions are generally non-refundable. We always correct billing errors and honor any refund required by law, and may consider other requests at our discretion.

5. Usage Limits

Each subscription tier has specific usage limits for resumes, cover letters, credits, and document exports as detailed in the table above. Reset behavior differs by tier:

  • Free tier: credits and keyword extractions are a one-time lifetime allowance - once consumed, they do not reset. Document exports reset on the 1st of each calendar month.
  • Pro and Premium: credits, keyword extractions, and document exports reset monthly on your Stripe billing cycle date. Paid tiers have unlimited resumes and cover letters.

Exceeding your plan's limits will require upgrading to a higher tier. Soft-deleting a resume or cover letter frees a slot for that document type immediately.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate and optimize content. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content is provided as suggestions and may require review and editing.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before using it in job applications.
  • The Service does not constitute professional career counseling, legal advice, or employment services.
  • ATS scoring uses algorithmic analysis (not AI) to evaluate resume structure, formatting, and content. Keyword extraction from job descriptions uses AI. ATS scores are estimates and do not guarantee results with any specific ATS system.

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you create using the Service, including your resumes, cover letters, and job descriptions. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content to provide and improve the Service, and to create and use anonymized, aggregated data as described in our Privacy Policy. We will never sell your personal information, your resume or cover-letter content, or anything that identifies you, nor share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Our Platform

The Service, including its design, code, features, templates, and branding, is owned by Pasvo LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

Templates

Resume templates provided by the Service are licensed for your personal use in creating resumes and cover letters. You may not redistribute, sell, or sublicense the templates themselves.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Service without authorization.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
  • Upload malicious content, malware, or content that infringes on others' rights.
  • Use the Service to generate fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive resume content.
  • Circumvent or manipulate usage limits or billing systems.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or its output without authorization.

9. DMCA / Copyright Notice-and-Takedown

Pasvo LLC respects intellectual-property rights and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. The Service lets you create and store your own content, such as resumes, cover letters, and job descriptions. If you believe that content on the Service infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to enforce, you may notify our Designated Agent as described below.

Filing a Takedown Notice

To report alleged copyright infringement, send a written notice to our Designated Agent that includes substantially all of the following (the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

  1. Your physical or electronic signature, as the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed or as a person authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If your notice covers more than one work on the Service, you may include a representative list of those works.
  3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, together with information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it on the Service (for example, the page URL or share link).
  4. Your contact information, including your mailing address and telephone number and, if available, an email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

We can act only on notices that substantially meet these requirements. If your notice is incomplete we may not be able to treat it as valid, but please at a minimum identify the work, tell us where to find the material on the Service, and give us a way to contact you.

Designated Agent

Send copyright notices and counter notifications to our Designated Agent:

  • Attn: DMCA Agent
  • Company: Pasvo LLC
  • By mail: 502 W 7th St, Ste 100, Erie, PA 16502, USA
  • By email: [email protected]
  • Phone: (484) 243-0720

Notices sent to any other contact may not receive a timely response.

Counter-Notification

If we remove or disable access to material you posted, we will take reasonable steps to notify you promptly. If you believe the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may send our Designated Agent a written counter notification that includes substantially all of the following (the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3)):

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location at which it appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number; a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the United States Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, any judicial district in which Pasvo may be found; and a statement that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or that person's agent.

If we receive a valid counter notification, we will promptly send a copy to the person who filed the original notice and let them know that we may restore the material in 10 business days. We will then restore the material in not less than 10, and not more than 14, business days after we receive your counter notification, unless our Designated Agent first receives notice from the original complainant that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain you from the allegedly infringing activity relating to the material.

Repeat Infringers

Pasvo LLC has adopted, and will reasonably implement, a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers, consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i). We also accommodate, and do not interfere with, standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works, as that term is defined in 17 U.S.C. § 512(i).

Misrepresentations

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages. Please consider whether the material is protected by fair use or is otherwise authorized before sending a notice or counter notification.

10. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the Service in a manner that could harm other users or our infrastructure.

When you delete a resume or cover letter, it moves to a 30-day Trash and stays recoverable from your dashboard before it is permanently removed. Your durable data is encrypted with a key unique to you, and deleting your account destroys that key (crypto-shred), so your durable data cannot be recovered - even by us.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Account deletion is reversible for 30 days - during this grace period you may cancel the request from the Settings page and your account will be restored unchanged. After the 30-day grace period expires, all your data - including your resumes, cover letters, and the durable AI-generation, activity, and snapshot data described in our Privacy Policy - is permanently and irreversibly removedfrom our systems via an automated purge process. Your authentication record at our auth provider Clerk is also deleted as part of this process. Audit log entries are retained for security and compliance recordkeeping; the foreign-key reference to your user identifier is removed, and some identifying detail (such as email address) may persist inside the audit-log entry's old-values payload for fraud-investigation and security purposes. See our Privacy Policy for the full per-category data-retention schedule, which is authoritative.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will meet your specific requirements or produce any particular outcome in your job search.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PASVO LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service.
  • Any content generated by the AI features of the Service.
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
  • Any third-party conduct on the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
